The Guardian Center's Alzheimer's & Dementia Care Unit.

The Guardian Center's Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Unit is specially designed to provide personalized care to meet all the needs of our residents with Alzheimer's and Dementia. We recognize that when meeting the challenges of dementia, the need for nurturing, laughter and meaningful programming is of the utmost importance. The focus of our program is to promote a feeling of dignity, peace and security in a dementia-friendly environment.

Outstanding care and supervision for each resident is our top priority. While our Special Care Unit was specially designed to keep residents safe and fully secure, it also provides a number of comprehensive programs that  encourage the highest level of independence which is paramount to their well being. Residents enjoy daily personal interaction through one-on-one and small group activities that provide structure and routine, a very important component in managing Alzheimer's and Dementia. These programs and activities are also structured to help keep residents engaged and encourage socialization. If needed, residents are provided with ongoing rehabilitation services and evaluation, including physical, occupational, speech therapy and more.

We know that helping your loved one decide to move to Alzheimer’s living facility can be difficult. We have knowledgeable and experienced counselors on staff that can assist in the decision making process and later work to ensure a smooth and comfortable transition if needed.

As a leading Massachusetts Dementia and Alzheimer’s care facility, The Guardian Center's Special Care Unit offers a welcoming home-like environment, staffed with caring professionals who work together to provide individualized care for each Alzheimer's resident.
